Steel and Copper Chain Exhibition (SICE) Focuses on Copper Supply Chain in Kerman

Evolution of the Industry Exhibition: From SIMEX to SICE The fourth edition of the Steel and Copper Chain Exhibition (SICE) marks a significant evolution from its predecessor, the Steel Industry and Mining Exhibition (SIMEX). According to Bardia Amirteimouri, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, this year's edition in Kerman will emphasize the copper supply chain, aligning with IMIDRO's agenda. The shift to focus on copper is a strategic move, given Kerman province's status as a rich source of copper and its pioneering role in copper mining and extraction in Iran.

A Grand Scale Event at Kerman International Exhibition Site The SICE exhibition is set to occupy a substantial space at the Kerman International Exhibition Site, encompassing three halls and an outdoor area totaling approximately 7,500 square meters. This setup allows various companies to showcase their equipment and machinery, highlighting the growing sophistication and scale of the event.

Strong Participation from Leading Companies

The exhibition has garnered enthusiastic responses, with participation from top companies listed on Iran's stock exchange. Notable attendees include the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, and Hormozgan Steel Company, among others. The presence of these industry leaders, alongside numerous suppliers and part manufacturers, underscores the exhibition's importance as a hub for business and networking in the steel and copper sectors.

Kerman: A Mining-Rich Province with Strategic Advantages

Kerman's significant contribution to Iran's mining sector is a focal point, with Amirteimouri highlighting the province's abundant mineral resources. Producing 55% of the country's iron ore and boasting extensive copper mineral areas, Kerman has evolved into a central hub for the steel and copper industries. The province's strategic location, rich in underground resources and its proximity to central transportation routes and free seas, makes it an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign investors.

Investment Opportunities and Industry Growth The exhibition not only showcases the latest in mining and steel but also opens doors to investment opportunities in Kerman's mining-rich landscape. It's an ideal platform for domestic and foreign companies to explore business expansions with major players like MIDHCO, Gol Gohar, and National Copper.

Complementing the Kerman Mining Exhibition The SICE exhibition is seen as a necessary complement to the annual Kerman Mining Exhibition, offering additional space and opportunities for companies that the latter cannot accommodate due to space constraints. This strategic arrangement ensures that the industry's needs are fully met, further cementing the event's status as a key industry gathering.
